About Us
FROM SEEDS OF CONFUSION TO NOW EVER GROWING.
Our story began on March of 2020, when the government declared a Metro Manila wide lockdown (ECQ) in an effort to contain the novel Corona virus outbreak. Back then, little was known about the virus and the country has recorded a total of 52 cases.
As this was the first ever massive lockdown in the country, businesses were thrown into confusion. Quietly, restaurant owners started to gather in a Viber group then known as BOUNCE BACK where more questions than answers were thrown about. Out of the chaos, like minded businessmen and women, saw the opportunity to gather together and give a voice to our restaurant industry during the pandemic and beyond. And from there, the first Board and Officers of RestoPH was formed. Agile and determined, the officers quickly formed and forwarded to DTI, its suggestions for safety protocols for restaurants to be able to open its doors amidst the pandemic.
5 years later, RestoPH continues to coordinate with government agencies, mall developers and its members to maneuver ourselves in the challenges brought about bythe pandemic.
RestoPH is a proud founding member of The ASEAN Restaurant Associations Alliance (ARAA) and is also a member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce.
